On Saturday we drove south to link up with Kustom, Tony Hawk, aaaaaand...

John John.

It's John John Florence, he wins the Airstrike. His stalefish rotation got more votes than anything else. Watch it again above, it's messed up.

The challenge was how to deliver John's money before he left the country. The Airstrike ended Thursday, same as the Lowers contest, so there were about 72 hours to do it before John flew away to France.

Kustom likes to get creative with this part — like a couple years ago when Dusty won and they surprised him at dinner with a blazer sewn out of cash, sort of a take on the Masters green jacket but spendable.

That's where Tony came in. Since he's credited with inventing the stalefish, Kustom thought it appropriate that he present John's prize: a few decks of hundreds in a Kustom shoebox.

So on Saturday, while John was out having coffee in Encinitas, we snuck up and made it rain.

Thanks to Kustom for providing a platform for this kind of surfing. Thanks to John (and Chippa, Matt, Albee and Ryan) for rotating. And we can't convey how remarkably cool Tony Hawk is but thanks to him too.
